T hat whole talk with Leviathan had been very weird. I kept getting the feeling that he was associating whatever I was saying with something not at all related to our conversation. But in his twisted mind, he’d found a connection and became incredibly irritable and offended by it. I decided it was best to put some space between us, not to mention I was still freshly mentally scarred for life from the scene in the throne room. Add in the fact that I had been literally dragged to Hell by Leviathan, who just so happens to be some sort of member of the nobility or high standing demons in this place for… for… I still didn’t get why exactly he brought me here. It didn’t make sense, especially since discovering that he unequivocally loathed my kind. Regardless, though, I was in Hell. Demons existed. Monsters existed (I’m looking at you, Beast). Oh, and I was physically attracted to my demon-man abductor.

It took a lot for me not to stare at him as he stood there on the opposite side of his miniature pool of a bathtub, shirtless, his muscles shining from the water, his terrifying, monstrous features now back to the humanoid version of himself. Luckily my fear, my confusion, and our argument helped work as a distraction, but when he stormed over to me, I had to quickly think fast and step back, keeping space between us. I could feel something deep inside myself yearning to reach out and place my hand over the sculpted lines of his stomach, to slide it up, and then rest my palm over his chest, curious if there would be a heartbeat there.

But the fucker had made me so furious that it, luckily, had helped keep my sanity in check and stopped me from making a complete fool of myself by reacting before thinking, a bad habit of mine that seemed to get worse the longer I was around him. Just like the word vomit. Not only was I seriously offended by what he was saying to me, but his rage, the pain in his eyes, frightened me. Remembering what he was, what he could do, I knew I needed to just get out of the same space as him.

Hoping to preserve my dignity, and to let all of this information sink in, I needed to be alone. The only place that I had? Well, that was my cage.

My cage…

How stupid was that?

Shaking my head, I shivered as I crossed his luxurious bedroom and stepped inside, still dripping wet, hating that the only clothes I had were now soaked, not to mention my hair was plastered to my head and neck. The selfish bastard hadn’t even offered me a towel after throwing me into the massive bath. I stared around at the pillows and blanket, considering using those to help dry myself just a little, when Leviathan suddenly stormed after me, towel and robe in hand, the one he’d been using to dry himself off with was now wrapped around his bare waist.
